Robbers kill youth on resistance |

ROBBERS shot a youth dead on resistance in the North Cantt police area on Sunday.
The victim was identified as Gulraiz, 27, a resident of PAF Colony. He had a general store in the same locality. Police said robbers, riding on a motorbike, intercepted him at the doorstep of his house and asked him to give them cash and his cell phone. He offered resistance, upon which, the robbers opened fire and injured him. He was removed to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Police shifted body to morgue for autopsy. A case has been registered on the complaint of the victim’s father Azeem-ud-Din.
Boy found dead: A 13-year-old boy was found dead near 97-Chauburgi Park in the Lytton Road police area on Sunday early.
Police are still clueless about his identity. A case has been registered under section 302 of PPC against unidentified killer/s. Investigation in charge at Lytton Road police, Muneer Khan, said the victim boy was killed with a sharp-edged weapon by some unidentified killer/s. He said that cut marks of a wire were found around his neck and his jugular vein was also cut. Khan said that the killer/s had first killed the boy and later changed his dress as not a single stain of blood was found at his jeans pants and blackish shirt.
Police made announcements in local mosques but nobody turned up to claim the body.
Meanwhile, the body of a 32-year-old unidentified man found from Lakshmi Chowk. Locals spotted the body and informed police who removed it to morgue for autopsy and suspected that the deceased might be a drug addict and died of overdose of drugs and cold weather. |
